(Togo First) - Essy KODJO is the founder of Perles & Pagnes, a workshop for artisanal creation and leather goods in Togo. Predestined for a career as a technocrat given her studies at HEC Montreal, she is today one of the leading women entrepreneurs in Togo, just like the famous "Nana Benz." To describe her path, the craftswoman often says she moved "from pension funds to rags."

Rather than following the steps of her politician father, Agbeyome KODJO, she decided to contribute to the structural transformation of the economy through handicraft, notably by investing in women and youth.
