(Togo First) - In a few years only, the former minister of agriculture of Togo, Noël Koutera Bataka, distinguished himself as one of the main actors of agricultural reform in the country. With a bachelor's in agriculture, a master's in public affairs, and another degree in public administration, he truly revealed his capacities by advancing the implementation of the risk-sharing based incentive mechanism for agriculture financing (MIFA).
As minister of agriculture, revolutionizing the Togolese agriculture was one of his main goals, one he pursued by connecting the various actors engaged in the sector (banks and farmers) and successfully carrying out agricultural processing projects.
Among other accomplishments, he coordinated the PNIASA and the Global Alliance for Resilience in the Sahel and West Africa (AGIR).
